Hidden Creek

On the way to Hidden Creek, ghost stories we told.
Scary, spooky, silly stories which made my spine run cold.
As we arrived, we could see all of the camp instructors standing tall,
Like soldiers in the army, listening for a call.
They greeted us and off we went for a tour,
A tour of the camp grounds, oh it wasn’t a bore.

The tent was a dragon, taking us in at night.
The nights were scary; the smallest noises gave me a fright.
In the mornings as we woke,
The kookaburras talked with their beautiful note.
“Lalala” they sang with great joy,
Sleeping in tents was such an annoy.

The food at camp was ever so yummy.
The food felt great to pack down in my tummy.
“Crunch, munch, crack” as I ate all the treats.
They all were so good, especially the sweets.

Hidden Creek was so much fun!
It was the best, brightest, beautiful, brilliant camp ever!
Oh what fun!!

Metaphor Poem

The White Ball Of Craters
The Moon is a white ball of cheese.
With craters like dents in the smelling food.
You stare at it, but can never make yourself touch it, as the smell is so bad in the wind.
The moon is a white ball of cheese.
